CMC Model Being Explored Abroad!

Earlier this summer the CMC was contacted by a group in the United Kingdom, UK Rivers Trust, who is interested in using the CMC model to create a national monitoring hub in the UK. The goal is to create a system that combines many sources of citizen science data, in order to track the health of the rivers and wetlands in the UK. They held their annual Forum on September 18th with the theme focusing on monitoring in order to kick start the development of the national monitoring hub. The event included a series of lightning talks, which included a short 5-minute overview of the CMC recorded ahead of time by Liz Chudoba, the CMC’s Program Manager. The attendees of the Forum were inspired by the accomplishments of the CMC over the past few years! We will continue the conversation with the UK Rivers Trust and hope to see more regional citizen science efforts throughout the world.
