CUAHSI Webinar Series

CUAHSI Webinar Series – Integrating Citizen Science and Water Resource Work

The Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Science Inc. (CUAHSI), sponsored by the National Science Foundation is hosting an ongoing webinar series. The webinars will cover logistics and organizational requirements to manage successful citizen science projects, methods-focused sessions to share best practices in water resources data collection, and data use in decision-making. Finally, there will be sessions on integrating citizen science projects in educational settings. This webinar series is currently ongoing with the last session occurring April 19th, 2023. The Chesapeake Monitoring Cooperative has already had representation in this webinar series. On March 1st, Julie Vastine with ALLARM at Dickinson College, presented on best practices when designing a citizen science project, in order to achieve intended goals. Additionally, the session covered recommendations when engaging and recruiting a diverse audience. This webinar is available for anyone to view here on Youtube.

Webinar series like this one hosted by CUAHSI, continue to be a valuable communication tool to collaborate and highlight all the work that occurs in the water monitoring field. The CMC appreciates these opportunities as they facilitate the advancement of water science, allowing communities to continue their salient work.
