Memorandum of Understanding is passed to advance citizen water monitoring effectiveness!

Over the last year, the CMC has been working with the Chesapeake Bay Program partnership on an unprecedented Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This MOU aims to forge a deeper understanding of and commitment to using non-traditional water quality and benthic data in various ways. We are pleased to announce that the MOU was formally accepted by the Chesapeake Bay Program’s Principal’s Staff Committee on Friday, October, 12th. This is a very exciting step in acknowledging the value of non-traditional data and the CMC’s efforts to document the diverse monitoring programs throughout the Bay watershed and to establish avenues for integrating those data and new data collected into the Bay Program partnership.
