CMC Partners Reunite for In-Person Meeting at Izaak Walton League

The CMC partners met in full force earlier in January for a strong meeting which reflected on past progress and faced future goals. All of the partner organizations were well represented. We met in the middle of the watershed at the Izaak Walton League office in Gaithersburg, and enjoyed good home-cooked food and a lovely walk around the pond in addition to productive conversations. CMC will be entering its final year of the initial 6-year grant period, and has lots of achievements and lessons learned to reflect on. Topics on the agenda included reviewing project deliverables, brainstorming additional ways the CMC and the Data Explorer might be useful to the Bay Program and other users, pondering the question of family-level benthic macroinvertebrate data, and planning for the upcoming data hack-a-thon. CMC looks forward to what it can achieve in the next 15 months and continues to be grateful for its numerous partners.
