Five New Trainers Join the Save Our Streams Network

The Izaak Walton League of America is excited to bring 5 new trainers into the Save Our Stream team in Virginia. Ben Rhoades from the Reston Association, Amy Ulland from the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy, Jessica McCaulley from the Prince William Soil and Water Conservation District, and Julia Sargent and Daisy Blakely from the Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River were trained in September on how to train new monitors on the SOS protocol. They and their organizations will recruit and train new monitors who will collect valuable data around the commonwealth and work to advocate in their communities for watershed protection.

Congratulations and welcome to our new trainers! If you are interested in becoming a Save Our Streams monitor or trainer email vasos@iwla.org to find a training near you.
